Haha, i won our costume contest here a work, it was 1, $200.00 prize for best costume between 5 dealerships and a couple other smaller shops.
So i just wanted say thank you to all the members here that have helped me, all the members for their tutorials, id also like to give a shout out to strong coffee, super glue, and meth amphetamines, just kidding of course, drugs are bad kids:)

Yeah, we didnt win sat night when we went out to a downtown bar. But i will say we gracefully lost to a couple of great costumes! But here at work, even with so many people participating…nobody really stood a chance…
Truth I was in a costume contest the other day and didn’t win 1st, 2nd, or 3rd (Not that looking like Pat from SNL helped me much).

I’ve won 2 this year and racked up about $500 so far. I almost lost to a guy dressed as Muscles Glasses the other night. He was some little skinny guy in a gray t shirt and aviators and everyone knew what he was supposed to be but me. The contest was based on audience reaction and we were tied up. I proposed we arm wrestle as a tie breaker and since I was about a foot taller and 300lbs heavier he bowed out and I won a cool $200.
On an unrelated note, after winning one the local news interviewed me. And forced me to say, “I ain’t afraid of no rain” to the camera. And it was horrible and he made me do it like 4 times.
Little did he know I was actually terrified of the rain.
Hahahahaha, thats too funny. Yeah we lost the year before because a bunch of sesame street peps brought a bunch of friends to cheer for em. Seems unfair but this year we lost to the maitlands (the couple from beetle juice) with the stretched out faces. And to the creepiest thing ive ever seen, some character from the dark crystal.
Im just glad the guy in the iron man suit didnt win. It was an ok built costume but it was also trashed from time spent wearing it and shotty repairs. The guy was a pompous ass!!! Walking around with a very undeserved sense of self satisfaction. Itried talking to him and he pretty much snubbed me. Guess no one else was all that into skinny pomous iron man either:)
I truly believe we had peoples choice though cause everyone looooved the costumes. As soon as i waslked in 1 guy saw my suit and just said “ok, fuckin game over” i just laughed so hard. Everyone though we shouldve won. But i didnt set out to win,i set out to have a good time…mission accomplished!
I lost to Atom from Real Steel. I’m ok with it for two reasons. His costume kicked ass, and we won their contest last year. $1000. Here’s a pic of my friend Chad with Atom:
I went to the campus halloween party and won “Most Creative” with my arm pack. My competition was the Mystery Machine crew and a girl dressed up as a shower pouf.
I got a apple pie scented reed diffuser and a box of Dots.
Just rakin’ in the prizes, I know.
I went to a house party and won too! Everyone was so amazed that people make homemade proton packs. I told them, “You have no idea!”
I actually won a costume contest this year as well. Went to a house party with some friends on saturday night in full gear, and I won most creative (Best all around went to two guys dressed as Bill and Ted…no comment). Prize was a delicious big bottle of Rogue State pumpkin ale, which I promptly consumed.
I was subjected to a drive-by compliment last night. A guy yelled out of his car, “That’s the best costume I’ve ever seen! Bustin’ makes me feel good!”
I suspect he was a Ghostbusters fan but I’m not completely sure…
Hahaha, yeah i got a few drive by yellings that couldve went either way. And that atom costume is unreal, no shame losing to that!
Last year i seen wayne and garth and they were unbelievably realistic. I always love the “dude” costumes, cracks me up.
I had a friend not even rank in the top 5! He lost to a guy dressed as Snookie, wearing a THONG!!!
Last night a buddy of mine (who had commissioned me for a basic uniform build last month) and I went to the only decent bar in Cheyenne and proceeded to win its costume contest. Was pretty fun turning that many heads and seeing that many jaws drop.
The grand prize? $100 bar tab.

Well bar food is good too! We were just contacted by the bar we went to the costume contest at the other weekend. And the 2nd placer was so drunk she left without her prize. They were all so impressed with our costumes that they ofered it up to us. How cool! So we went for an amazing dinner andgot to bring home a 60.00 bottle of wine.
I will say though that all the props we got on our props was more then enough to make itworth it. Everyone is always sooo amazed, Fun!
My Ghostbusters/Pacman mash-up shirt won me a $2 burrito at Chipotle. It counts as a win since I showed up wearing whatever I had put on that morning not thinking about it.
