IGN posts their 5 recommended fixes for the game

I used to like kotaku, but they have a lot of problems with quickly posting unconfirmed rumours as truth and then retracting or correcting them later. Really makes them look stupid. Of course it happens to all the informational sites, because most of them have that desire to have all the most recent new up before anyone else… but in the short time i’ve been following kotaku it’s happened quite a few times. I also don’t like their commenting guidelines… they make you “audition” to post comments which makes it sound like it’s an important position to fill… “Comment poster”… Like they would only allow mature commenters to give input on their articles, but if you read the majority of the comments made on their articles… They are rubbish! Not only that, but they are all ban crazy… I’ve seen people get banned for criticizing an article’s content, spelling or grammar. Any site that can’t take some criticism without banning people is not worth it in my book.

(The final straw for me was when i realized they posted GB game information later than any other site. LOL)

In any case, the point i’m trying to make is that I really do not care much for kotaku anymore. Every so often i’ll check them out to see if they have any new stuff because they do get some exclusive stuff from time to time, but aside from that… the news they have on their site can be found just about anywhere else. I tend to head to destructoid.com more often than kotaku these days.

Back on topic, it’s good that this game is getting more attention and more positive feedback! The more i think about it the more i think that this delay from Oct 2008 to June 2009 is really a good thing for the game because I think all the polish they’ve put on is really going to catch some people’s eyes.

Ok T&A (Ooops… Ted & Annette) … No more GOTY talk… I like Charlie’s idea though… GOTEternity ALL THE WAY!!! lol

roasted by fire or proton pack?

the boys in grey also had Jack Hardmyer, but he wasnt as bad as walter peck.

I don’t know… i think they were both equally bad. Walter had them thrown in jail while Jack had them thrown into a mental institution. They were both jerks.

I think this IGN reviewer is worse than both of them!

now that i think of it they were equally bad. but hardmyer got the worst punishment (the manga: which takes place before the game) he ended up on the streets (also reveiled he wanted the mayor to be govenor so HE would become the next mayor), while peck only had tons of marshmellow fall on him and had his pride bruised. however, that is still such a satisfying scene.

yeah but peck also shut down the containment unit releasing all the ghosts they caught that was a dick move on his part

and for ign i don’t think they are very bad i think its easier for me to generalize instead of saying ign i just say anyone who posts things that are either false or cant be changed due to either lack of time or lack of a reason ( like the unwieldy proton pack aiming that ign mentioned)

That’s a good point. I was putting the IGN umbrella over one person’s poor review. It wasn’t necessarily IGN that was bad, it was the reviewer. I totally agree.
