We all know by know suits are khaki, but in the past there has been a controversy about it; some have argued that even Casey Kasem mentions it.
Well, I am from PR and Spanish is our native language, so although I watch mostly US based cable TV channels, I like to add Closed Captions, in case I don’t understand something. While watching Ghostbusters a few minutes ago, I noticed/read on the CC that Casey says: “boys in grace” I even rewinded the excerpt and it is pretty clear that he says that, he even mentions the “s” very noticeably at the end. Thing is, the next word starts also with S, so it might be easy to miss it. Next time you hear it, pay close attention!
Here is the excerpt just as it appears on the CC:
“… this time at the fashionable club “The Rose”. The boys in grace slugged it out with a pretty pesky poltergeist, then stayed onto dance the night away…”.
CC typers are notoriously inaccurate. They just type whatever they hear as fast as they can and go with it. Since CC is intended for deaf people how would they know if it was wrong?
All my suits are Khaki because the suits were Khaki. But he said gray in his improvised line this is fact. No matter what the CC says on TV on any official home release it is “gray”
ok, “boys in grace” doesn’t make ANY sense. Are they holy? Why would they be “in grace”? boys in gray slugged… “gray” is next to the word “slugged” and if you say it fast “grayslugged” it would sound like grace. Grace lugged? I’m sure the debate will continue, like how many licks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll pop? The world may never know…
