Janine Melnitz.

Why did the character of Janine change so much between the 2 movies??? Dye hair or wig etc etc etc

Why did the character of Ray change so much between the 2 movies??? Gain weight or cigar etc etc etc

Why did the character Winston change so much between the 2 movies? More lines or screentime etc etc

Fairy godmother?

Haha, I think they wanted to make Janine stand out more. In the first one there wasn’t anything “special or different” about her. That’s my guess, since most people seem to remember her by the second movie.

Janine is very trendy, and fashions changed in the 5 years since the first movie etc etc etc :eyeroll:

seriously? Well for starters, they went with different actresses. I know Annie Potts was in the 2nd movie, I forget who played Janine’s part in the 1st movie. Got any more brain busters?

Don’t you dare be this rude when you don’t even know it was the same actress. You are on gbfans.com you should know this!

takes candybar back

Sorry…you…you don’t deserve this. :sigh:

Listen… do you smell something?

Smells like…fish. Is someone fishing here? I think I hear a TROLLing motor.

I’m being rude? no man, you’re being rude! Let’s try to be gentlemen about this. Since there’s no way to go back in time to prove who played Janine’s role in either movie, let’s just agree to to disagree.

Why do I always have to be the mature one on here?

Fair enough. And since there is no way to go back in time to prove who played Janine how about we go with John Belushi’s ghost?

Balderdash. Everybody knows that John Belushi’s ghost played Slimer in a uncredited cameo.

Janine, on the other hand, was played by Fran Drescher.

They modeled her off of the cartoon. They went the same direction with slimer hanging around the firehouse.

Janine’s new hairstyle was probably what attracted Louis in the second movie. I mean I didn’t see Egon getting friendly with her in Ghostbusters II! Ha, ha, ha!

And why would we have to go back in time to prove who played Janine’s role? How bout just take out the VHS if you wanna go old school or then the DVD or Blu-Ray. Watch the movie and if nothing else read the end credits. Imdb and wikipedia as well as any other bio you can find on google credits her to both movies. So my question is what is there to disagree about??

Woosh!

I think that the radical change on Janine was thanks to RGB: red hair, more excentric glasses…

Thank goodness they didn’t have Harold Ramis bleach his hair and grow a rattail.

Trendy, or just dolled up to accommodate her job(s) as escort or phone sex operator or something. I mean, she had to find something else to do while the Ghostbusters were out of commission. :eyeroll:
