This is a problem I can’t seem to over come and apalogize in advance if it ends up being a stupid question. I can’t seem to stop my proton gun handles from loosing paint after long periods of holding.
I have a few packs that are pretty p;d and needed repair. I’ve since wrapped the handles with electrical tape. However, I was looking for something cleaner so that I still have the flat black appearance without fear of loosing it. Any help would be much appreciated.
There is a rubberish black spray paint you could try. I know Advance Auto carries it, though I don’t know the name. i think it’s for coating the underside of boats, but that stuff sticks very nicely..and it’s a nice black color.
I wouldn’t use plasti-dip. I tried some on a spare resin part and it makes a surface which has a lot of friction. Your hand won’t slide over it like it would a real plastic grip, or a painted handle. And it might feel a bit tacky.
Also it can be peeled off the resin, so I don’t know how durable it is. But I only put a couple coats on it, and I used the spray type.
I used Plasti-dip for just the hand-grips. For the length of the rear handle: sand multiple times, clean, prime, paint multiple times, then clear coat it.
