New(?) Resistor information...

Forgive me if this has already been discovered, but while I was reading through the page on which dale resistors were used, I noticed it said there was some debate over the rh25 being the proper resistor.

That combined with dumb luck(searching on ebay for the resistors), I found this auction which looks, to me anyway, to be the resistor seen here: http://www.gbprops.com/image.php?url=/reference/10/1/16.jpg save for it’s gold finish(which could easily be remedied with some black paint/plasti-dip). The auction even says “Similar Dale RH-25”).

Anyway, according to the auction, the resistor is a PACIFIC 25CH. It’s a bit to much for my tastes, but I thought this may be of some interest to someone somewhere!

Again, sorry if this has been discovered already!

Hmmm, clicking the link doesn’t seem to work for the ebay auction… so I’ll post the auction number as well, just go to eBay and enter it in the search thing, it’ll take you right to the page.

Yeah, the Pacific CH-25 is not a new find. It is the correct one you are looking for when using the vertical ridged, short resistor on the Ion Arm. The Dale RH-25 is the same size, but has horizontal ridging and no “Dale” logo on it. All can be found for around $3/each. I think the debate started because Stephan’s plans show the Dale RH-25, yet the Planet Hollywood photos clearly show the Pacific CH-25. In my opinion, either is fine. And FYI, the Pacific CH-25 can be found in both gold or black.
