movies I mean which one would you most like to see go back? I say FF. Say what you will about the X-Men and Spider-Man movies lately but you have to admit none of them are as bad and unfaithful to the source material the FF movies were. I do like the actors who played them in the first 2 movies but Dr. Doom was not at all like the comics. Also having Silver Surfer be powerless without his surfboard was stupid. And Galactus as a stupid cloud. I know already made a topic about FF but I’d really like to know your opinion on which one you’d like to see go back the most.
Also I never want X-Men to go back. I think it’s really stupid in the comics how so many people hate mutants for causing destruction with their powers but love the Fantastic Four and Avengers even when they do the same thing. It’s pretty stupid imo. I know Stan Lee used mutants to be discriminated as a symbol of African Americans (and others) getting discriminated in America. But it really doesn’t make sense for mutants to be discriminated against but other people with superpowers are not.
I’ve heard a great deal that has me wanting to avoid the upcoming FF movie like the plague. Found footage, not liking or wanting their powers, etc etc etc. No thanks.
I’ve heard that Sony is in preliminary talks with Marvel that could allow Spidey to end up in an Avengers movie. We’ll see, though. I just don’t want them to reboot yet again. I like Andrew Garfield a hell of a lot more than I liked Tobey Maguire.
X-Men finally got back to being good with Days of Future Past. At the very least, it made up for the god-awful third movie and Wolverine movies by retconning the lot of them out of existence (now, if only they could retcon them from my memory). I’m really hoping they do a bad guy like Apocalypse justice. We’ll see, though. I wasn’t a fan of the iSentinel purple plastic designs.
Speak for yourself. I liked the Amazing Spider-Man movies. I have half of imdb on ignore because apparently most people on imdb hate the Amazing Spider-Man movies.
Garfield is a great actor, but he is not Peter Parker… Twilight haircut, skateboard, hipster? None of that is anything Peter Parker… The stories were terribly written as well… too much focus on Peter’s dad, to a point that Uncle Ben is easily forgotten (which should never happen)… they even reworded the whole power/responsibility quote! Why?!? And don’t get me started with Electro… great actor (Jamie Foxx) wasted on a horribly written character… Even the whole Norman/Harry Osborn relationship was terrible… As a Spidey fan, I say no, and I do know many people who agree with me… I at least found Sam Raimi’s version tolerable…
To date, I’ve only fully enjoyed the first X-Men, First Class and Days of Future Past, I’m glad the most recent film has fixed some of the discrepancies but in the final analysis, I believe X-Men, and Fantastic Four would be better off back under Marvel’s control. By simple mathematics Marvel will produce a disappointing film at some point, but I’d like to see how they would handle the titles still held by Sony and Fox once they had control of them again.
I’ve liked the Amazing Spider-Man movies but I’m not sure this Sinister Six solo movie will go well with audiences. I myself really don’t see the point of having a Sinister Six movie without Spider-Man.
