I keep reading things here and there about private plans!! Whats up with that?? Is there a set of plans I can buy or ask someone for? Also.. Im wondering if any one has the proton pack in auto cad? that could help me out alot! How long would someone who is fairly dedicated take to make a complete pack?.. im chalk full of questions ![]()
Basically..
The people who are working to make the plans (in private) are spending more time talking about the plans they are making than working on them.

There are plenty of people who have developed their own plans while working/researching, they’re not public for any number of reasons. I can’t speak for others, but few of my plans/research has ever been made into something that’s readable by anyone but me. As for plans being developed for GBBG, they’re simply in the in progress stage since there’s still so much to do…once consensus is reached on various parts then plans for that part will be put out.
That’s exactly what I was going to say. A lot of changes or additions I make to my packs are stored in my mind. I couldn’t say where I got the info from, the fact is, I developed my own way of doing things which works for me.
A professional carpenter/joiner wouldn’t need a set of plans to complete something like a proton pack from wood. They would use sizes and reference images, but the method of putting it all together would be their own and they wouldn’t need a guide on how to do so.
I believe there was a thread a while back called “things discovered since the plans were made” or something like that. It wasn’t a definitive list, but most of the thread was a collaboration of what different members had found out.

I can’t speak for everyone that is working on new plans, but the ones I’m connected to are not finished yet, hence why they aren’t out yet. Can’t release an unfinished product, now can we?
I found my plans in a box of Cap’n Crunch.
There are a good amount of people in this community that are scaling pics, studying screen grabs, and doing straight up trial and error building to get certain details hashed out. The thing with Ghostbusters props is we are still to this day finding new details that have not been discovered. Plans are constantly being modified and redone so it is a rather slow process but one that is necessary to achieve the accurate specs some of us strive for.
I could put out plans tonight, but I’m not going to, because they aren’t finished, aren’t watermarked, I haven’t found a good titleblock, etc, etc.
If people need a measurement, I’m perfectly happy starting up CATIA and taking a dimension reading.
Would you rather I release drawings piecemeal? Kind of like Star Wars action figures?
Well for now all I would like is the motherboard plans. stefans are good im told but I just keep hearing there are better ones.. also are there any plans out there that are full sized plans?
I can try to get a fullsize PDF for you tomorrow if you PM me.
