Ok I haven’t been able to notice this from pictures and screen captures and well when I watch the movie I get sucked into it and forget to look but the yellow LEDs on the tank on the RIGHT hand side of the pack. Are they moving or all on?
they have a slow scroll up similar to the power cell on the proton pack. Check the “We’re running out of time Ray” in the Statue of Liberty.
I just found a video clip of that time area of the movie and see it. How would I wire that up to do that? Anyone know?

I found something that I could make work but it there anyone out there selling a light kit or where would I even look besides eBay to find something like this?
Specifically just the scrolling power cell light
Thats the ones I need ![]()
I’ve been asking a few of the light kit builders on here if they could make me a power cell light kit but use yellow led’s instead of blue.
No joy as yet though ![]()
Figured I’d specify it since there are some ■■■■■■ on this board, including myself, who would say to just buy a pack light kit; but a pack light kit won’t work and is a waste of money just for the scrolling power cells.
Yeah ya gotta be careful there are some ■■■■■■ on this board who’ll tell ya that.
I’ve been working with JT94 on an modified version of his pack kit designed for the blower.
i.e longer powercell with yellow instead of blue led’s (he’s been designing a different board for this)

here you go.
From the description I dont think thats the correct light sequence.
It says a chase ie one light on at a time.
The powercell lights all stay on behind each other til it reaches the top then start again.
Cool kit though. Got me thinking I might have a look for one that does the job ![]()
Gaurdian has decided to go with something a little more custom. I’ll let him explain. I think it’s a cool idea
Yeah that sounds like it just does 1 light at a time. But I am figuring since I custom a trap I might as well do the same on the slime blower (to a point). The part that I have decided to customize is the power cell. I will be using a Logisys Red Liquid Neon Light Kit (Loading...) (not yet decided on Red, green or blue) that is meant for a PC. I am planning on taking this and having it powered with 9v or D batteries. I will also run a switch up to the gun portion of the system to turn it on. I am hoping to put the order in and start the work on this by next week.
My trap I made was made to look used and dented from extensive use so I am working on getting my tanks to look similar in that manner also and am hoping to get that done yet this week and mounted to the alice pack I need to get ordered in the next day or so.
Also as a side note here any thoughts on color for the light for the power cell?
I am very disappointed that you havent posted the finish pics yet
What you’re looking for is an LM3914 chip. One chip will control a bar of up to 10 LEDs and multiple chips can be daisy-chained for longer graphs. They can be set to either dot (single light at a time) or bar (sequential illumination) modes. All you need is a 555 timer set to output a sawtooth waveform to control them. Should be under $20 worth of parts for the whole circuit. If you don’t know how to read datasheets or work with circuits though building it from scratch is probably not worth it fo ryou unless you want to put in a lot of time for research.
I know my way around circuits but i am no expert by any means. To make it a bit more custom I did use a plasma light that was made for a PC and made a circuit to convert the battery power to the needed power.
Also Keoni I will be posting pictures one of these next days. I am finally getting caught back up from moving and all the out of town work i am doing for my job.
