IF he does this movie, he will be the biggest piece of garbage in Hollywood. Right next to Feig. He was what held up a third movie and then he does a reboot? Hell no.
And go to hell, craigtheowl, for supporting Feig and wanting a reboot. Thanks for supporting the death of the franchise, you butt.
Craigtheowl has always suppoted a reboot and Paul Fieg. He’s part of the problem with society. So I had to say it. He’s a butt. So is anyone who wants to see this movie or who likes Paul Fieg.
I don’t want this thread to be locked, I started it so we could get some separate discussion on the possibility of Bill Murray appearing in the reboot as a new character. I just hope that people will start accepting that this movie is actually happening and we can start having productive debates and enjoy the development process.
So here’s another thought. What if it’s great? What if the movie is funny and entertaining with a great cast? What if kids go see the movie and fall in love with the characters and then dedicate their life to the fandom of Ghostbusters? Can we just be a little positive here?
These are just hypothetical yet possible outcomes that are in contrast to everything else that I have been reading today. The negativity is nauseating. You will not find a bigger Ghostbusters fan than me. It hit me hard at 3 years old and I totally understand the “You’re ruining my childhood” sentiment but the overall negative vibes are bumming me out way harder than the prospect of an all female reboot.
Slime Square hasn’t posted anything childish or stupid in about 40 minutes. Can we arrange a welfare check on him, I’m worried he may endanger himself or others because someone is making a movie he might not like.
Seriously, this is some Christian Weston Chandler-worthy ■■■■ here. Please stop embarrassing us.
You don’t understand, Craig. It CAN’T be good because it’s different.
And different things are scary and bad and we all have to throw away our old things and we have to replace them with these new things that will make it so we can’t ever enjoy these old things again.
Does anyone even remember the Blues Brothers? Of course not, there is only Blues Brothers 2000. Everything before that was wiped out, erased forever.
I can’t even remember what you’re talking about. Between Blues Brothers 2000 irreparably damaging the universal timeline and the severe trauma I’ve experienced from having my entire childhood wiped out by an easily-ignored 90-minute cashgrab, everything is a spinning haze.
Being miserable and treating reboots like dirt is every New Yorker’s God given right…
GB3 has been “happening” for the better part of twenty years. How do we know for certain that this incarnation isn’t going to fade into oblivion just like the rest of 'em?..
One can only hope… but as the saying goes… wish in one hand and poop in the other. And then you magically have a Feig movie.
But back to the topic at hand. I adore Bill Murray, but I can’t help but feel a lil slap in the face if he does indeed end up being a Walter Peck character in the film… after years of holding things up…
