Here is the start of it, Im using the foam core and some balsa, I have the handle gluing up now, and am planning the final design on 1/4 mdf.
I started the light kit today for the trap. I have some questions as to the desired blink/light pattern. In this image it is a 10 segment led bar graph, I might up it to 15. Currently when switched on it lights up solid and blinks three times then goes solid and goes off from right to left. What is the desired blink pattern?

Here is a quick video of the lights as they currently function. I think I may swap out the 10 segment led bar graph for individual 2.5mm leds and make a pcb board for them and use a led driver chip to control them.

Sent you PM for cheap source for yellow 2X5mm yellow LEDs I used on our trap build
I didn’t receive a PM but I found the LED’s at newark for 14 cents so I grabbed 30 of them. Also picked up a couple of TLC5940 LED drivers. Those will let you drive 16 leds and you can daisy chain the chips, you also get PWM control so you can vary the intensity. Do you use a microcontroller to control your lights and smoke units? Im planning on programming all the lights and buttons using an arduino chip. The 5940 led driver can also drive servos.
Couple more trap images did some more work on the containment box, while that was drying started foaming out the wand body.


Took a break from the trap today to attempt a scratch built gun body using Sean’s plans. This one came out ok, but I am going to make a second one, I could have measured better, and now that I have used the hot glue to simulate welds I will do it way better on the next one.
Overall not bad. I do have access to a vacu-form table I may get some MDF and build a mold to use with that.
