I made that same mistake too, cut all my ribs into my motherboard. I ended up cutting a new piece out since i had lots of mdf to spare. You could try some wood epoxy putty for in between
Pack looks great!

Good idea!
I doubt anyone outside of this site would even notice.
I’m pretty sure I’m going to be wearing the pack, and then one of the GB Fan guys will pop up, and be all like “Are those grooves I see? YOU’VE BROUGHT SHAME TO US ALL!”
Got some more work done tonight, thanks to the latest batch of Nick A Tron parts arriving. All the big parts are now on the pack, and later this week I’ll be adding the tubes and electronics.
I’ve also started with the frame. From H to almost A. Still needs some work to be done, but it looks like I’m entering the final stages of this project. For now at least.

Looking good so far!
Busy throwing in my lights and sound now to the pack. Thanks to the guys on the site, for recommending scuffing the blue lens. I was hating seeing the bulbs through there, but this quick technique worked out perfectly.
And I’m almost done! All I’m missing right now is a resistor to feed the PPD tubing into, and a some minor cosmetic work that needs fixing to go with the touch-up paint, and I’m done.
It’s not the most accurate pack out there, but I’m pretty happy with it. And the bug has bitten me. I can see myself making this more and more accurate as time goes on. But for a starter pack, I’m pretty damn happy so far.
Plus, I got my flight suit sorted ![]()
I attended my first convention in full GB costume over the weekend, and what an experience! I don’t think I’ve ever heard the word Ghostbuster said so many times in one day. Flying up to the event, my pack got damaged though, and I had to do some quick repairs for the following days. Hot glue, a spare PVC and black nail polish, you’re a lifesaver.
Heck I even managed to place second in the cosplay competition! News which left me with a case of derp-face apparently.
At the end of the day, my feet were broken, I had aches in my back and shoulders and I may have had burnt-out retinas from all the flash photography. But I’d definitely suit up again for this.
