The GB 3 press war

On one side, you have Bill Murray bashing everything and anything (including his unique opinion on why he did the horrible movie that was Garfield…not one, but 2!)

On the other side, you have Dan And Harold quoting the same news each month stating that the movie is supposedly in the script writing stage and it has to get past that before anything gets agreed on…

Just curious who is on Team Murray, and who is on Team Aykroyd…

Personally, I think Bill might be having a midlife crisis or something..why would he be going on all these movie bashing notes? Even if some are deserved?

Team Aykroyd! If I ever meet Murray I’m going to punch him in the face!

What Murray says about the Year One film is right though, and I’m fully behind him having reservations about these writers penning the script of GB3 if thats tthe standard we are going to expect.

I don’t want them to makke this film just for the sake of it. If the script is good enough then I’m sure he will do it, if it isn’t then he won’t. And that’s a good thing.

Write him out. They did in Charlie’s Angels. Make reference to him though, maybe say that he’s overseas setting up the euro GB administration or something. Maybe even a funny cameo of him on the phone while all hell breaks loose around him. That way Venkman fans will have Venkman in GB 3 and Ramis, Aykroyd and Hudson can do the movie. Who cares if there are new team mates? I mean if GBI was a real company and were still operating in 2010, they would have more personnel.

I watched Year One, and while it’s not one of my favorite movies, I did enjoy it, I don’t know why most people shit on it so much.

I’m absolutely Team Murray.

He will prevent any damage to the Franchise with his attitude.

He said he’ll do it if the script is right and that’s the way it should be.

Don’t make another one just for the sake of making another one.

So Murray is basically on OUR side.

He doesn’t want this movie to be ■■■■■■.

Teams Aykroyd and Murry need to combine AGAINST Team Sony!

Team Sony is willing to push out a product regardless of the suckage, but if Dan and Harold looked at it a little more like Murry and Murry was more positive like them we might actually get a half decent product!

All 5; Dan, Harold, Murry, Hudson and Reitman all need to be willing to just walk if the script sucks.

I absolutely agree with this. Couldn’t have said it better, so I wont!

I’m Team Murray.

But we already knew this, didn’t we kids?

I’m Team Bill & Team Dan,i love those guys :frowning: and hope GB III is on the way

It’s planned press to make people talk about it, and it’s working.

That’s a good point, and can easily been seen in the new-feed on the left side of the home page here. (Many sites are jumping on this new interview repeatedly getting the name “Ghostbusters 3” out there yet again).

This latest round of news doesn’t surprise me… nor, surprisingly, does it diminish the flame I’ll admit has been cultured in recent months as the snowball has continued to go down the side of the mountain.

I expect that in a month’s time, this’ll just be a minor speedbump and things’ll be back on track as much as they ever truely are.

How can you guys call it news? “Oh man Bill Murray just sneezed, he must hate Ghostbusters!”

I’m team Ghostbusters. I could probably live without murray if I HAD to, but I’d prefer he’d LOVE to be in it, and be proud of his work in it.

That said, If he could do some of the other pure ■■■■ that he’s done, whats such a BIG deal about GB3? I mean, how do you do Garfield, and then come off high n mighty, and holier then though? LOL!

Where was the creative concern when he did Garfield? Hes done a few other stinkers, or shall we say “less then stellar” work over the years. Why not give your fans something they;ve been begging for, and do your damned level best to make it work, and be the best it possibly can be, instead of being a boat anchor?

I also like how only TWO articles seem to be on the ball and actually read the entire article AND read between the lines. Every other useless ■■■■■■■ “journalist” that’s been “reporting” the same shit as everyone else clearly hasn’t, otherwise the headlines and articles themselves would be drastically different.

+1. My favorite article is the one that’s up right now and says, “Ghostbusters 3 To Release 2012!” Then it goes on to link the same article where Bill is calling the whole movie a crock. The whole title of the article is based on one line he said, where he may or may not have been serious and / or drunk when he said it in the first place. :sigh:

Shane

LOL, one GQ article and so many sites pop up saying GB3 dead or GB3 summer 2012.

I agree with you Garee. Makes me wonder does Bill really know a good script when he sees one?

And most of Bills good movies(and well known), has Harold Ramis behind it.

I’m on Team Cullen…

Oops.. I mean… Team Jacob.

Murray seems to be having a difficult time choosing which path he would like to take for this movie. I have no problem with it being made or pushed aside again but I wish all partys would get on board and come to a final conclusion for the film. I’ve felt like for the last few months (since the project came to life again…) that i’v been running in circles and tangled up in webs trying to figure out what is really going on with this movie…
