I’m very new to this whole prop building thing. Honestly, I don’t think I’ve ever come anywhere near building anything like this my entire life. When I start to build my pack, I intend to purchase a shell from Exoray and use various other resin parts. Basically, I’m looking for an as close to complete as possible list of tools I’ll be needing to put this thing together.

Well, if you’re getting a shell, you’ll probably only need a dremel.
dremel . . . . .i wish that was all that is needed . . . . . . . .
powerdrill, assorted screwdrivers, pliers, ratchets, saws, clamps, taps, pencils, markers, measuring sticks, protractors, compasses
and thats not even getting into all the prep items you will need like filler putty, sandpaper, screws, epoxy, paint
the list is endless it seems
you will certainly need more than just a dremel

Plus: a miter box is very helpful, a tap set, epoxy, wood dowels, various drill bits, a 7/32 loooong bit, files, masking tape, bondo, assorted allen bolts, goggles, mask, hot glue gun…
And if you are using only a dremel, you’ll need plenty of cutting disks, drill bits, a flex shaft might be useful, sanding bits… plus all the stuff mentioned above. LOL!

A complete list will be LONG… REALLY long.
To do it right you’ll need alot of different tools. I’ve gotten quite a bit done on my scratch built pack without owning many tools at all. That being said, I can recommend you get a drill, a dremel, and a comfy chair- You’ll find reading this forum invaluable. Alot of questions you may have are already answered in detail many times over by now- You need only take the time to look for them…
Ohhh yeah. Watch out for those nasty hot glue burns!
