Tutorial Request: Matty Thrower

Trying to see if anyone has opened up the Matty Thrower and found a way to transfer sound to a speaker. If so please share this info with me I would be very grateful. I got a bud who is good with electronics but would rather him see pics of how to do it before letting him get in there. Thanks in advance!

Trying to make it louder?

Yeah. I wanna hook it up to an amp and speaker in my second pack. So far only person I know had done it is that VB guy but I would rather try getting the info from someone on here.

I would also like to see some info on this. If vb has done this then I’m sure someone on this great site must have some info to share on this topic.

There’s some debate as to what, if anything, he who shall not be name has actually managed to achieve with the Mattel wands.

I’m sure a topic will appear eventually, just as eventually someone posted one when they took their Mattel Trap apart.

Lol I saw the video of it and one video of a guy that bought one of his Matty Thrower packs (for way to much) so it can be done, just need to know how to open safely and what wires to mess with. Since I am selling my main pack I have with full lights and sound, I made a cheaper but still hot pack using the Matty Thrower. Got lights but no sound other than that coming from the gun. Must crank it up!

Wouldn’t you just clip the old speaker wires and then route it to an amp then a larger speaker?

If I knew how. Don’t wanna mess it up.

Exactly TC, or solder additional leads from the wand speaker and channel them through the end of the thrower, down the split loom, and into a pack speaker/amp combo.

Well I’m hoping someone can show proper way to get it open and what not. Already heard a few horror stories of guys getting it wrong and SNAP! No more thrower. Yikes

Thought I would give this a bump. Big event coming up trying to rep!

I’m still hoping someone makes a tutorial video!

here’s the video for sound… opening it up is another story. I know that there are 2 end caps that need to be removed, one rubber and one plastic. The rubber one can be removed by working it with a screwdriver or something small and flat, however, the plastic one needs to be cut.
