Whatever I make on eBay goes towards buying GB stuff. That way it doesn’t cut into anything else, we have less junk around the house, and she can’t complain that it’s a burden on the budget.

my basement looks like Sanford and Son. I have been gathering junk (cables, pool filters, wood, metal, etc.) for some props that I’m working on. So, she’s been patient so far, since it’s in the basement.
i have no girlfriend…im almost 21 and have never even had a girfriend…i always get the lines “youre just a friend”, “youre not really my type”(and then they describe their type and its alot like me)…or the ocassional flat out “no”
oh well…im hap-..well semi happy as i am now…maybe one day ill find someone…i hope i do…but im not gonna hold my breath for it to happen anytime soon…
Don’t sweat it, Matt. I was the “31 year old virgin” until I met my wife at work. We got to be friends (she was married at the time). She moved away, and I dated a few people. She came back to go to Pitt, we dated, I proposed, she said yes, and there you go. I think there are 2 women for every man population wise. Enjoy being single. I’m glad that I’m married (I HATED dating–ugh!) but it isn’t always roses and sunshine. : )
I guess I can post about my husband, since I don’t have a wife. 
I’m the crazy one in our household and my husband is the supportive one. My obsession is mostly with costuming, so the props go along with the costumes. He knows how happy it makes me so he’s ok with it.
My major obsession is actually R2-D2, and I’m in the process of building my own 1:1 R2. Whenever I go to R2 Builder events, he always hangs around in the background. Poor guy, he doesn’t fit in with the R2 Builders because it’s not his thing, but he doesn’t fit in with the “R2 Builder Widows” either because he doesn’t want to sit around talking about shoes and purses! :lol:
I’m making my husband a Ray Stantz uniform for Halloween, but the more I get into this the more I want a suit for myself! 
(Oh, and 21 is young, especially for a guy. I was nearly 28 before my husband & I got married.)
eh it would probably help some if i actually trusted my friends to set me up on dates like they are always trying to do…but i just cant bring myself to let them…i just honestly cant trust them with something like that lol

My GF has no problem with my various hobbies until they start getting everywhere, especially in the kitchen. But she wasn’t too happy about the thought of dyeing a flight suit in the washing machine…so I did it when she was at work 
note to gbmatt (or anyone else)…I think there’s added pressure when people try to set you up with someone. I met my current girlfriend on a free dating site a little over 2 years ago and things are working out great, we actually just moved in together recently I believe the thing to do is just be completely honest with yourself and the people around you, eventually you’ll meet someone compatible, but you DO have to be a little proactive. I’ve always been extremely shy in person, so I set up this online profile where I could better explain myself. In my profile I just put everything on the table (geeky stuff and all) and, surprisingly, the females began contacting me. All ages, too, it was weird. Girlfriend supports me totally, but I only do the prop related stuff for halloween. She doesn’t know it yet, but I’m planning a colonial marine costume from Aliens for future halloweens, lol. If I didn’t have other things in the works now (read on!), I’d already be started on it!
She’s really supportive with the decisions I make. Hell, any girlfriend that doesn’t laugh at dumping just over 5 grand into a gas powered welder and 100’ of stinger cable and 50’ of ground cable (Man, is copper cable expensive!) is worth keeping! I just dumped 144 bucks canadian into a 100’ 12 gauge extension cord with 3 plugs on the one end (nice to have) sigh and yet, she was there for it! My thought process at the time was, “Aw f*ck it, might as well get a good one!” On my next paycheck, I’m buying a 5" Makita grinder, and they’re no cake walk either.
IMO, I have no plans to get married anytime soon!
I see her friday-sunday more or less, as I currently work four 10 hour afternoon shifts (4:30pm-3:00am monday-thursday!) I don’t live with her, but if she had problems with it, I’d know by now!
Even if she did have issues, she can blow me! There’s no way in hell I’d change for anyone.
Regardless, any woman that can’t accept the fact that anything you own is yours, your bank account remains seperate from hers and that anything you’ve decided to own together (in written form) upon dispute or divorce, is to be sold and the revenue split, isn’t worth the effort! I’ve heard so many horror stories of loosing homes, that anyone that doesn’t agree with the latter can also blow me!
Ron got me into GB around two and a half years ago. I remember when we first met he would quote the movie constantly, much to my confusion. He had me watch the movie with him a few times and I was starting to love it. Nine months later I had a flightsuit. Needless to say I’m a rather accepting girlfriend. I even intend to let him build an Ecto in a few years. I get to drive it first though. 
My girlfriend and I dont live together and most of the time im over her place so she dosent get to see what im working on or any new additions to my prop collection very often, but when she does come over she loves to inspect it all and get me to tell her how i made it etc. last time she was here there was a built ghost trap on my table and she gasped with excitment! i asked if she knew what it was and she said “of course i do! its a ghostbusters trap!”. i think she’s a keeper 
but i dont like to go on and on about my prop building, neither do i ever tell her how much money i put into it.
I’m particularly lucky, as I stated in another post. I met my sweetheart on the Ghostbusters message boards…
Sure, we found out we had a lot more in common than just Ghostbusters, we were brought together through Ghostbusters, nonetheless!
It’s been 3 wonderful years, and there will be many more.
She wants her own suit and props.
My girlfriend is part of Ghostbusters, Virginia. She loves it, loves the idea, loves the movies and even likes watching the cartoons. I have to build everything for her, but I’m chill with that.
My fianceé supports me on everything related to GHOSTBUSTERS, we have a 2 years and a half relationship and we will be married on september 6th.
She helped me buying the XBOX 360 back in december when I knew about the upcoming videogame.
She´s the love of my life.
The future Mrs. Solo better be cool with it, or she won’t be the future Mrs. Solo. And not just because the garage of her home is going to be tiled white and green…
