Alternative to Rubber Grips

So it’s been a while since somebody offered rubber grips for the thrower, and from what I recall the experiments with plasti-dip haven’t gone well.

So I came across this:

I’ll try anything once!-grin It looks rather similar to plasticote. Is it roughly the same stuff?

If so, be sure to do several layers to build up enough so that it doesn’t peel off when handled (speaking from experience).

Edit: Nevermind, I see it’s a one-cote deal. Still, I’d probably do at least two or try it on some test material first.
