So I decided to dive into the world of busting as my 5 year old is obsessed with the original movie. So I ordered the Rubies deluxe proton pack and after seeing it being full foam, I decided to go full out on this, as it’s his Christmas present. After figuring out proportions, I scaled down the Alice frame to the pack using 5/8" aluminum tube from Ace Hardware, and bent it with a 3/4" Rigid tubing bender. I traced his pack onto 12"x24" 1/8" thick balsa wood from Michael’s, and compared the proportions.
After that I began to lay out the bottom portion of the Alice frame using a steel plate that was 12"x18" from Menards.
Then I put on the base coat to the motherboard, and this completes day 1 of fabrication.
