He was just on 95.5 WPLJ in NY promoting the wine, and stated that he’d be at Stu Leanords in Clifton NJ this Saturday. I’ll post the interview soon and the time of the event, since I’m assuming people will be interested..
Dan has the energy of an 18 year old…all they managed to ask where two questions and boom, he just kept on talking for about 9 minutes :)..
If anyone is going in full costume, let me know. The station is friends with Stu Leanord, the guy who owns the chain, and I’m TRYING to arrange a way to document the whole experience for him…and this time hopefully interview Dan. Last time, I was too busy standing in line with my painting to be able to move around much :).
I just found out from the website at least there will be no time for interviews, but somehow someone from this site got an interview with him at Gary’s Wines after the appearance, and I was told no then there, too..
So, how does one get through the red tape??
Now I’m toying around with going to something else instead since I already got my stuff signed from the last one..
You’re right, Dan does seem to bring rain with him every time he does a signing. It was raining in April when I saw him at Gary’s in Wayne, NJ. Then again it has been raining all week in NJ.
Today he was running late because of the weather and a woman told everyone that since he was running so late that he would only be able to sign bottles of his vodka and his wines. So much for the Blues Brothers hats, poster and Ghostbusters pictures I wanted to get signed. Since I already got bottles of wine & vodka signed when he was in Wayne, I just left around 12:15.
Ectoman_913 I saw you and your buddys in the Ghostbusters gear. Very nice job on the proton packs.
I was there hanging out with Ectoman_913. I was the one not in uniform but was wearing a proton pack. I was all disappointed that Dan was running late, I really wanted my proton pack signed by him but his people wouldn’t let me; they just rushed me through. I did get my bottle of crystal head signed though. It was also a great experience because I got to shake his hand and he complimented me on my pack. I’ll throw up my 3 pictures I took later on then.
Had a great time meeting everyone, hit some traffic but just got home Dan was awesome he asked us to wait and took a pic with us and shook his hand he said great job on the pack and asked us to keep up the good work.
Wow, so it wasn’t a total loss for your guys after all… that would have really sucked, and through no fault of Dan’s, either. Lousy weather. Now I’m really glad I got to see him at Gary’s wines…
One of these days, I am going to complete that trap at least as a test…But I’d want to make all my parts custom. May have to do a little research on ‘vacume foam’, I believe the term is…Might be the easiest way to do it once the learning curve is done..
Man, I’m looking handsome in my GB t-shirt . . . oh and look its Dan Aykroyd! I had a lot of fun at the event and it was cool meeting some of the Long Island Ghostbusters.
hey hey i was there as well and saw you guys ahead of me in line with the full gear. I got to meet dan as well and he signed my ghosbuster book, poster and vodka. I was surprised he let me take a picture with him after i showed him my custom slimer shirt i made. He was taken back that he never had seen a slimer shirt like mine and said it was one of the coolest gb shirts he’d seen. I wish i could have made one for him but i found out he was gonna be in cilfton just days ago. arghh but im just happy he was a nice guy and liked my shirt. had a good time.
