These are the pics from the eBay sale, and this is how the pack arrived. I paid $41 for it. It was the cheapest one posted at the time, but that didn’t matter as you’ll see in the next few posts.

First, I peeled off all the old stickers.

Primed, and started new paint job.

Paint mostly finished. Time for new stickers.

I used a rubber tube from Lowes for the new thrower hose attachment.

He likes it. Now, I just need to find a child sized flight suit. This is the Rubies costume he’s wearing. It’s great for pajamas, I guess.

Here’s the thrower up close. I added some weathering to the whole pack, but he’s adding some real weathering himself, as well.

I also put two coats of clear over the whole thing after the new decals were added.

This whole thing has nothing added to it other than paint, new decals, and a new hose. I’ll add some Alice straps a bit later when I find some at a surplus store or flea market.

awesome job on that paint job man, that pack looks pretty clean!

The client looks happy!

Looks great! Fantastic job

Wow!! Great job on the detail. Can’t wait to get my son the kenner pack.

This is a great idea for my little guy!

TIP the Kenner pack had a Triforce on it.

I like this conversion. It’s a good, decent upgrade, and overhaul, while still holding the charm of the original toy. Good job!
