I remember hearing that sony was thinking about doing another ghostbusters ride is there any new news on this.
Okay, here’s all we know.
Sony licensed Ghostbusters as a theme park attraction back in May. A Ghostbusters attraction is said to be in development at Universal Studios Dubailland, but that is a rumor and the whole park is on hold for the moment (since June). It was described as a similar ride system to the Men in Black ride at USF, but also mostly designed specifically for Ghostbusters.
On a more tangible level, Universal Studios Florida has renewed the copyright to Ghostbusters on their website, yet not on any other of their theme park sites (except Dubailland). While nothing has been spotted yet, there is a Ghostbusters reference in the Simpsons ride. And, all other copyrights on the site are either rides, restaurants, or shows.
A Universal employee claimed that a show was in the works, possibly with a ride down the line.
Two stunt packs from the Extreme Ghostbusters show are said to be somewhere on the lot.
That’s all we know; I’m kind of a theme park nut.

I’m not sure of any ref to GB but the Simpsons ride is chock full of BTTF refs,favorite one is Doc hanging from the Clock Tower in Springfield Square.

Yep you’re right I had forgot about that.
We all should find out about a new streetbuster show maybe by next summer.. last I herd (and reported) the script is still in the writing stage and needs to be approved.
Update:
The Dubailand project has hit a few snags. The operators are now searching for ways to cut costs. Since Ghostbusters hasn’t made much progress, it may be a project to go.
is the ghostbusters electric light show thing still there? i remember seeing like 12 years ago
Even though I’m not sure what you’re exactly referring too (Spooktacular? Indoor Gozerian Temple with ghosts and what-not?), it is not. As of right now, there is no Ghostbusters presence in Universal Studios outside of a few odd references.
UPDATE: The Fear Factor show will be closing in the next week or so to set up for a Halloween Horror Nights show (Bill and Ted). However, insiders suggest that it won’t be returning next year. So what could be going in? Who knows.
Ghostbusters wont be going to the FFL show… From my understanding if there is a Gbs show coming it will go in NY
On a side note I’m a BIG HHN fan.
Fear Factor had been closed for the past two years. and only opened again for a few months this Summer. I’m expecting the same thing to go in there - nothing.
Also, no GB show is coming to the Studios.

Except you never talked to him. Michael has been working full time on Horror Nights for the past 8 months.
I talked to Micheal about Gbs a few months ago and before that the final night of HHN.
Him and his staff have wrote a script and a friend of mine has seen it.
I wonder if universal is hiring for this project..
