I’ve recently learned that’s it is rather possible to make my own proton pack, only problem is, I don’t have enough moolah yet to make a full fledged pack and gun, so I just focused my excitment into this little thing. I plan on making the entire pack out of clay, not necassarily REALLY detailed, but as much as I can in scale with this gun. I always thought it’d be neat to have a miniature version of it. hey man thats great so far.. i bet it was alot of work.. but keep it up!! hey lol you would be the first to make a toy proton pack… you should scale it so it would fit like a gi joe.. that would freakin cool.. lol

I would actually like to make a really detailed, at least to the extent of MY ability, sculpture of a proton pack, the gun, and a figure to go with it. I’ve always wanted to sculpt well, and now’s my chance I guess… :slight_smile:

Here are the details so far:

All of the parts I have finished for the pack so far. Everything you see is made accurately to ± .002" of Stephan’s plans (divided by six, of course.) The Ion Knob is a little off, but I’ll probably redo it later. The cyclotron washers are not glued on yet, so they will look off. The solid cylinder above the cyclo is the N-filter, but as you can see it lacks it’s holes right now.

Continuation of the first picture. Better shot of the 1/6 scale ALICE frame and motherboard. This makes me laugh because the second I saw this little frame I knew my life would suck even more. But things are going smoothly right now.

Close-up of the Ecto Goggles lenses. They are done and just need to be attached to the AN/PVS-5B I have (sorry, no pic of them; but they are super detailed! Better yet, here is a link to them: http://www.legendshobbies.com/hotoys/ht001268.htm)

thats…pretty cool i could not do the much less bulid a real one the one i made is onely the gun no pack and all it’s just a small paper box with 2 wood poles i also made a rbg gun but it sucks too :cry: :cry: :cry: :cry:

Just a guess but since he is doing it in a 12" figure scale it’s probably a borrowed pack from a detailed soldier figure…

I beleive in the Proptopia post he also linked to a pick of a soldier figure in reference to the goggles…

I’m just guessing, but maybe the frame is from the ammo pack of the man portable M134 minigun?

So, how much for a cast of the proton pack when finished? :lol
