I used 3 differnet sizes of washers for the knob. the main body is made from 40mm and 30mm washers threaded onto the bolt one after the other. the top washer is a 38mm washer with a larger central hole to allow for the bolt head.

you are correct, 13 40mm washer. this is NOT the screen accurate amount but i had to use this many to get the screen accurate height for the mount. i ended with a 40mm washer againt the bumper.

The problem I had with the washer method was the weight.. all that steel weights about 3 pounds or more.
I used weed whacker line painted, wrapped around pvc pipe, capped with a steel washer and bolt, and you can;t tell the difference, plus it weighs almost nothing at all.

I kinda like the brownish weathering on them as well.
Griff the grips shown on the gun in this thread are not my own. they were from a certain black listed seller but that thrower is since long gone and am making a brand new, much more accurate thrower using my own, more accurate grips. the old grips were far too big and were the main rason i sold on my old gun.
i see i see…well I love your grips ur selling i cant wait to make my new GB1 gun with those suckers on there

Nick, I could not tell in your shots, but it looks like you put the hose barb at the top of the dale resistor (as it should be). Just wondering how you got it attached. Easiest way that I can think of is to cut the prong, drill a small hole and glue it in place. If that is what you used, what did you drill it with (low speed dremmel, high speed dremmel, drill, your laser vision) so not to crack the ceramic core?
i cast the resistor in resin and then just drilled into the resin version to attach the barb

i gotta say i really like the burnt spot on the red gearbox sticker. never thought of that before, but it looks really sweet. this is a truely superb build!
