Very very nice!
I love the level of weathering not extreme just enough to look like shes seen the frontline!

thankyou everyone! the weathering is only a sort of example right now, im going to study the screen used packs once ive finished construction and try and simulate the kind of look they have. fuller’s earth on standby ![]()
How did you make the ribs on the gearbox and other parts with flat styrene?
the styrene sheets im using are about 4mm thick so to make the ribs i just cut strips from the sheets and glue them to the main box shapes. then i just give them a sanding to take away the sharp edges ![]()
I have to admit I’m impressed! That styrene method intrigues me oh so much.
What type of black paint are you putting on the styrene and what plans are you following ?
( You should definitely sell packs, i’d definitely end up buying one with lights lol )
Also nice model/paint service site. That pulse rifle is amazing!
thankyou David. the paint im using is black vallejo spray primer. its not the cheapest of paints but does give a VERY even, matt finish that can be semi polished to give a worn look. im following stefans plans. me selling packs is a long way off right now, im just getting into the casting and selling parts for ghostbusters props but am hoping to have a whole range of parts up for sale soon. and thankyou for the compliment about my site, but i do really need to get a new site as i will soon have alot more parts etc for sale. all should be up and running soon ![]()
update!!
well ive been working a bit more on my pack, two main things that i built are the top right corner behind the HGA (can see it a bit in the 2nd picture) and the cyclotron! finally it’s starting to look like a proton pack
let me know what you think…
That is looking so cool! Well done Nick!
awesome!
Wow! Really really cool, Nick! Superb work! Love the paint wear effects! Gonna steal that, I think! ![]()
Ya gonna make me wanna start scratchbuilding myself! ![]()
It’s very nice to see parts off the board - helps to set the shapes & relationships in your head.

Really, really nice. What did you use for the red lenses? I like how they’re nice and bright, even unlit.
thankyou for the kind words guys.
for the red lenses i used a red transparent ring binder folder that i cut up and used small squares inside the cyclotron. they look a bit too red in those photos but in real life they arnt quite as bright.
looking really awesome, are those real legris straights on your pack?
thankyou
sadly they are not the real deal. they are ones i made myself by gluing 2 nuts together and filling in the seam. then filling with putty and adding a small cuff to the top. a pretty rushed job and one im not too happy about. will be replacing them with the real ones hopefully very soon.
if you happen to stumble upon some real ones let me know! i just purchased the replica straights and banjos from namebrand and hopefully his run comes through, but if you find some please let me know ive been hunting for awhile and these thing are next to impossible to find. But i give you two thumbs up for your creativeness because all in all thats what this is all about! ![]()
Looking good!
I’m curious to know if you made or ended up buying the cyclotron.
Question for you - did you place the female part of the V-Hook on the pack? I’m 99.99% certain the screen used ones are the opposite way…
here’s a screencap where we see underneat the gun and it seems to be a female one.

Did you get a machined V-Hook?
Yup, its
Male hook - Pack
Female hook - Wand
Glad I could help u Nick…thing looks amazing!!!
Griff
i must admit i did purchase the cyclotron. i just couldnt find a cake pan or anything that would make a decent one so ended up buying a spare from Ddevil.
also i am using a dixie cup bracket for my hook. i know i have the male and fe-male parts opposite way to the screen used packs but im not too keen on the way the male part looks on the pack. also i think the female part looks more like the male dixie bracket than the female part does…so in a way i have them the different way to the screen used packs to make them look more like the screen used packs…if that makes any sense ![]()
HI, loe how it´s coming along. Isn´t the ion knob a tad big?
