thanks Mars, it will be complete when i can get hold of a drill that can drill through the mobo so i can attach the alice, mobo and shell. electronics will be added a little later when i can afford one of exorays light kits 
well until then here is how the 97.5% complete pack looks with a bit of fullers earth applied. i cant call it “finished” until i can put it on my back and draw the wand …
Nice work Nick! Can I ask what method you used for attaching the hose to the wand?
thankyou! completely by chance the hose i used fits the inside diameter of my handle perfectly so i just slotted it in there. i havent used any glue or anything as i am now thinking that a little furthur down the line i want to build a more accurate thrower that will be added to this pack and the current wand will be used on my next pack. maybe so i want to be able to swap them around if i decide to.
can you just use some sort of set screw passing trough the tube and hose? this way it’ll be removable. I personally like removable. lol.

finally got my pack attached to the MoBo and alice frame. everything is nice and sturdy but MAN its heavy. now i know how peter feels when he puts his on in the GBII courtroom scene
just got to paint the mobo and attach the gun hose. sorry about the mess, i should talk to the maid

how much does it weight? You’ll find out the best way to adjust the alice straps in order to not feel the weight too much.
Mine is pretty light, I’m happy about that.
I like that “evidence” tag hanging off the bumper. I never would have thought about doing a “courtroom” scene pack. Pretty cool!

ive had a fiddle with the alice frame and managed to get it a little more balanced. but in answer to your question…it still weighs a ton :s
exo95er thats a prop debt tag but i like the idea of the courtroom ID tag, might have to add that to my GBII pack if i get round to making it.
I too tough it was a courtroom evidence tag. It looks cool, might do that if I find one.
I did put mine on again today (YAY!) and must say I can’t be more happy to have decided to go the fiberglass shell way. With the alice frame, I could wear it all day with not too much complaints.
I’m uploading pics at the moment, I can now consider my pack to be finished enough to be used in public. I find it funny how our progresses follows one another.

i think i have worn mine about 10 times today haha. one of my mates popped over to take a look today and thought it was the coolest thing ever 
i let him wear it for a bit and he didnt want to take it off…until the weight strain began to kick in. i think fiberglass will be the way to go for my next one.
well today my pack was 100% finished…for about 6 minutes…because as i was moving it out of my work room into its display area i dropped the thrower smashing the clear tube and trigger tip 
But it’s no real problem as it was the least accurate area on my whole pack and one i wanted to change anyway, now i have the perfect excuse shopping list to colin!!
pics tomorow as its dark here now and the lighting in my house is poor. watch this space.
Good stuff.. sorry to hear about the weight issues though. I considered that all along, since we are hitting halloween parties n such with ours, and we might wanna dance in them.
Without the guns, ours weight easily less then 10 pounds, without the alice frame.
Odds are 1/2 the gun construction will be foam, so I don;t expect those to weight much at all.
I’m currently trying to find a lightweight but durable replacement for the ion thing on the back of the bumper.. pissible aluminum wire wound around a wooden dowel might be durable, yet lightweight. If I go that route, I’ll cap it with one washer, and metal nut as well.
that ion knob idea sounds pretty good! im sure ive seen someone do it that way before.
yeah i didnt really thing of the weight while i was building it, kind of thought “oh hollow styrene shell wont weigh much”…WRONG! hahahah
at least it feels like a real proton pack full of inner workings etc while wearing it.
Weird is, before I started the paint, that 1st time I did wear it, Kat didn’t hook the gun properly and it felt as I was going back to the workroom… the translucid tube wasn’t there, but the ears broke. It doesn’t show anymore, I’m good at resin parts restauration, and Collin’s work doesn’t shatter, it only breaks.
Glad there’s no more damage. You’ll learn to pay a lot of attention to the gun. I know I did. lol.
weight wise, I don’t know how much mine weight. Let’s say that I can carry it with one hand (all including gun and frame) with no problems. Must not be too heavy.
I just realized that I didn’t post the pics of it since completion yet, I’ll go do that now. I’ll want to do something about my gun/pack hose. Its dyed, painted rubber. The paint started to chip. I’ve been suggested to try plasti-dip, in spray.
