Am I the only one that thinks that this is an easy decision?

I think I might’ve preferred the firehouse had it been the Real GB firehouse. It just doesn’t fit to me. Looks like someone did a google search and edited accordingly. It’s definetly a cool idea but the execution..ehh not crazy about it. I went with the first one.

It might still wind up being the RGB Firehouse, that they simply used the real one for the example.

I thought that at first too Zack, but they appear to be renderings of what the boxes will look like, rather than actual boxes themselves. I’m just assuming that, if the firehouse box is the winner, they would try to clean it up a bit. Then again, we all know what happens when you assume.

I agree with zack on the firehouse thing, but I haven’t voted yet. I will give it some time and base my opinion a little more on other peoples own opinions

hopefully not created by the masterminds that brought us this

 I voted on the first, even though I’m not crazy about it either. It looks really generic but there’s no doubt I’ll buy it. The same pic as one of the 4 episode set ones. Cool to see the RGB-ized movie scene though.

well the first one looks old school from the toys. but i voted for the firehouse because i think its cooler if the box is “something” rather than just pictures.

I apparently didn’t have all the info when I voted. If the firehouse is everything it’s being made out to be, sign me up. Better than the horrid Tokyo Pop cover too

I don’t know.

I would only vote for the Firehouse as long as I know that this is not what the final version will look like.

I voted fire house.

I understand what you guys are saying but let’s face facts…this is probably the largest boxed set we will ever see as GB fans. So a firehouse boxed look is probably only going to happen here because it would look really lame on a smaller box. Whether it’s the RGB styled or the original, I still think it looks 100 times better than the other box. The cartoons inside came from the original look and story anyway and that firehouse will look way cool sitting with my DVD collection.

To each their own, I just can’t wait to own the boxed set

okay I voted firehouse due to the reasoning that Jason gave

Yes I voted for the fire house. For one simple reason; I’m tired of seeing the same art work on everything.

Also as Jason said having the firehouse covered in slime on my shelf will look pretty cool…

Did anyone notice that in the “inside slip” view the boxes were 1,2,3,4,5 and BONUS. I know its just a rendering but maybe a good clue that there is some plans for definite worth while bonus if a whole extra DVD is planned.

Did everyone read the note about the firehouse lenticular possbilities? Little goings-on in the windows and whatnot?

How ever-luvin’ cool would THAT be?

Seriously…vote house.

Tough decision…

I ended up voting for the fire house, I think it’s a cool idea. Although I wouldn’t be upset if the other box wins, I just thought it was a little bit too plain. Heck, I’m just happy we’re going to finally get The Real Ghostbusters on DVD!!!

There will NOT be slime on the firehouse:

“The “slime” box features slime oozing down the side of the case (as pictured above), while the “firehouse” case includes animated scenes in the windows, and the ECTO-1 driving out the front doors.”

Those are two different things.

Gord

I went with the Firehouse, just to get some new artwork. And I like the idea behind it, if not the actual art shown.

What I’m wondering is, will the first seasons feature the original Lorenzo Music dialogue, or the later, re-dubbed, Dave Coulier voice? Surely an archival edition would feature the original broadacast versions, but you never know… Er, apologies if this has already been addressed elsewhere…!

A.T.

Firehouse.

Nope I see no slime covering the top of the box…nope…none at all. They will both have slime, but the moving art will be different; yes reading is something I can do.

Chill out champ
