Just got done rolling out a cool site feature.
The site will now try its best to autolink to site content.
So for example if you start talking about Citizen Ghost and no one knows what that is, it will link automatically to the Wiki page about Citizen Ghost. And it doesn’t insert another link to the Citizen Ghost page, no matter how many times you say Citizen Ghost after that.
It’s just a cool way to help bring the content of the site together. And hopefully it doesn’t break TOO much.
(It will also auto link to the shop, so if you say Metal Bellows, then it knows where to go!)

Just found out we were getting hammered by a bot that would just continually check for old forum posts and it was doing about 25 page requests per second. Now that it is blocked, hopefully we will have better page loading form now on. That being said, I think the new server we’ve been on for the past 3 weeks has been working really well!

Suggestion regarding franchise information:
Currently the franchise pages (example: Hudson Valley Ghostbusters - GBFans.com Franchise | GBFans.com) show the number of a members on the profile page. However this is only the number of members who are ALSO gbfans members. This is therefor a little misleading as not every member of the franchise will be on this website. My own franchise only 1 person (me) has an active account while 4 do not and 2 are minors.
Should this be changed to say “x members on GBfans”?
I would recommend encouraging your members to create an account, even if just for the purpose of adding to the roster. I can also look into allowing non-users to be added to the list with an ability for them to claim their slot when they create their account.
My profile picture keeps disappearing. I’ve uploaded it several times but it always seems to disappear within a day or two. It was there on my desktop and my mobile earlier today, now it’s gone again.
It must be uploaded to the site. The forum will download it from the site when you login. That’s a behavior we haven’t been able to fix. User Dashboard
